The team members had been partners in the TEASE (TElematics Architecture Study for Environment and Security) study exploring possible technologies for a European spatial data infrastructure. A deep involvement in the FP6 and 7 geoland project (an initiative to support the implementation of European directives and international policies and conventions linked to land cover monitoring) and the responsibility for the definition and development of the infrastructure to support data exchange in-between the partners and the user system for data delivery to the customers, shaped the understanding for the imminent needs of new IT infrastructure developments and the essential concurrent workflow solutions.
In addition, the EOX Team members had been contributing to the development and definition for INFEO's Catalogue Interoperability Protocol (CIP) to XML translations gateway (CXG). Recent developments include services for the Service Support Environment (SSE) and a CXG XML Compliant Server (XCS) using the SSE toolbox to provide access to the Korean KOMPSAT Catalog for INFEO. As well as the development of an Catalogue, Order handling and Data delivery system for the "European Spaceimaging" (EUSI) in the frame of a Thrid Party Mission agreement. The system had been connected to the ESA's existing EOLI and Multi-Mission System (MMOHS/MMFI/MMMC).
Recently, in the frame of ESA's NSI program, the team members successfully integrated two operational services into the SSE. While one service, namely "Adaptive Image Fusion", an image processing service, is fully operated and owned by EOX (formerly ARC), the other service, namely "ENVEO's Snow Cover Maps – Alps", a service which provides information about the snow coverage of the Alpine space, is owned and fed by ENVEO but now hosted by EOX.
By successfully executing various contracts with ESA, to the full satisfaction of the customer, the team of EOX IT Services GmbH is well known to ESA and Austrians Aeronautics and Space Agency (ALR) and very experienced with ESA's and ALR's program requirements, rules and regulations.
