e-Infrastructure for Geospatial Data Sevices

Earth Science Digital Repositories and related infrastructures were in the focus of the 4th GRID & e-Collaboration Workshop held at ESA/ESRIN. EOX Managing Director Gerhard Triebnig contributed a paper putting ESA's successful Service Support Environment (SSE) infrastructure programme into perspective with the needs and standards being established bei SEIS and INSPIRE, the genuine European initiatives for geospatial data sharing, infrastructure and organisation.
