GMES and the City of Vienna

As one of the first Regions in Europe the City of Vienna takes pro-active steps to elaborate its potential roles as GMES service user as well as regional geodata provider. Eighteen departments of the City administration met at the kick-off meeting of the strategy forming and systematic screening project "GMES und Wien". Contracted by the City, EOX provides multi-faceted consultancy services to the project from the background of its various GMES, SEIS, INSPIRE and OGC involments. The international consultant Technolpolis Group is contributing strategy aspects.

Vienna is official member of the Network of European Regions using Space Technology (NEREUS).
